Welcome to Andrew Ramsay Wildlife and Landscape Photographer

Hello and welcome to my website, my name is Andrew Ramsay, I have been taking photographs for longer than I can remember, or even want to! With the advent of the digital age, I have become more passionate about photography and the images I want to capture.

Although I enjoy photographing birdlife and landscapes, my main passion is close up photography of insects, whether that be butterflies, dragonflies or beetles. The details of which, not always visible to the naked eye, never cease to amaze.

My two sons bought this website as a Christmas present, to enable me to showcase some of my work, I hope I have done them both proud.

A debt of gratitude must also be paid to my father, Laurie Ramsay, a well known photographer in his own right, who, over the years, has given me many tips and tricks of the trade. The greatest of which, was patience! I have spent hours waiting for the right moment, when a combination of elements present themselves in a truly spectacular way.
